I’ve been obsessed with designing clothes for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I’d spend hours drawing outfits, dressing up my dolls, and hand-sewing whatever I could imagine. I never really considered doing anything else. So after fashion school, I went straight into the industry, full of passion, energy, and big dreams.

But working in fashion turned out to be very different from loving fashion. Between the toxic work environment and the industry’s endless cycle of overproduction, overconsumption, and disregard for people and the planet, I knew I didn’t want to be part of it anymore. So I walked away from the career I’d once dreamed of and ended up doing something completely different: making cookies! Yes, you read that right. I ran my own little cookie business for a few years, but as much as I enjoyed it, I missed making clothes and the creative process of bringing an idea to life.

Eventually, I found my way back to fashion, this time on my own terms. I discovered patternmaking as a way to combine everything I loved about designing with something even more meaningful: helping other women make their own clothes. Choosing their fabrics, finding their fit, creating pieces that feel truly theirs, and hopefully treasuring them for years. Today, I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love while sharing that little bit of magic with others.
