Fabric requirements

Choose a medium to heavyweight non-stretch woven fabric. Linen is my favourite, casual or elegant depending on how you style it, and a duchess satin turns it into an evening piece.

Lining: Fully lined: the same amount again in a lining fabric.

Fabric needed:

  • About 1 m (1.1 yd) of fabric wider than 130 cm (51")
  • Plus the same amount of lining

Exact amounts per size are in the booklet.

Notions
  • 6 buttons, 1.2–1.5 cm (½–⅝")
  • Interfacing tape
  • Matching thread
  • Optional: 50 cm of 1–2 cm wide elastic, for a more fitted look
  • Optional: 12 cm of fine satin or elastic cord for the button loops, or make your own
