Made for fluid, drapey fabrics like crepe or satin, so the half-circle side panels flow beautifully. Linen and cotton work too. Avoid very stiff fabrics like poplin, denim or canvas, and stretch jersey.

Lining: Fully lined, so you can even use a sheer main fabric. Choose a light lining that matches its drape, like a lightweight viscose or habotai.

For 140 cm (55") wide fabric:

• Dress: 2.8–3.8 m (3–4.2 yd) main fabric, plus 1.1–2 m (1.2–2.2 yd) lining
• Top: 0.9–1.4 m (1–1.5 yd) main fabric, plus 0.6 m (0.65 yd) lining

Exact amounts per size are in the booklet.

• Invisible zip: 60 cm (24") for the dress, 25 cm (10") for the top
• 25 × 10 cm (10 × 4") of lightweight interfacing
• Stay tape, or a 1 cm strip of lightweight interfacing
• Matching thread
