Fabric requirements

Choose a lightweight, flowy fabric that drapes softly on the bias, like a viscose crepe or satin. Silk is beautiful too, but it's slippery to handle if you're new to bias cut.

Lining: None, the dress is unlined.

Fabric needed:

  • At least 2.4 m (2.6 yd) of 140 cm (55") wide fabric

With narrower fabric, add 1.5 m (1.6 yd) for the scarf piece, so 3.6 m (3.9 yd) in total.

Notions
  • Interfacing tape
  • Matching thread

No zip or buttons needed.
