Choose a non-stretch fabric with body and a nice drape, like a wool-blend suiting or a light gabardine. For a softer feel, a linen blend works lovely too.

Lining: A lightweight lining for a smooth inside, like cupro or a soft cotton: about 0.5 m (0.55 yd).

For 140 cm (55") wide fabric:

• 2–2.5 m (2.2–2.75 yd)
